Who doesn't love Dumbo? Yes, the ride is based on the lovable Disney character and extremely popular with the youngsters. Located in Fantasyland, Dumbo the Flying Elephant takes the premise of the standard flying airplanes found at any self-respecting carnival and adds a little of that old Disney magic.
Dumbo is for young children, plain and simple. After a more than moderate wait on a line that offers no protection from the sun, your tot will board an elephant that circles around a central pole, giving the impression that he or she is actually riding on Dumbo's back. To make things a little more interesting, the pachyderm pod is fully equipped with a little joystick that lets its occupant control any and all ascending and descending. If your kid is a daredevil, they can jerk vigorously on the stick and give themselves motion sickness. If slow and steady is more your child's style, then they can just sit back, stay at one level, and enjoy the ride. Either way, the experience is one that should delight smaller children.
