This 3-D film is one of the most popular attractions in Disney. A fabulous and funny combination of special effects and audience participation, "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" is based on the popular film series, "Honey I Shrunk the Kids," starring Rick Moranis as Dr. Wayne Szalinski. If you've seen any of the movies, you know that Dr. Szalinski is a disorganized genius who has invented a machine that can shrink matter. During "Honey I Shrunk the Audience," the audience is in attendance to see Dr. Szalinski receive the Inventor of the Year award. Of course, something goes drastically wrong during the ceremonies and the audience is miniaturized. A very funny adventure ensues that is guaranteed to make you chuckle as well as a give you a few surprises.
This attraction incorporates 3-D technology, moving seats, sound and in-theater effects to produce a very entertaining show. Children who are easily frightened might have a tense moment or two, but will definitely come out of the theater with a smile. This attraction is very popular, but don't let the lines dissuade you from going because the theater can accommodate large crowds. Try not to sit in the first couple rows of seats; the effects are better in the middle. This is definitely one of the must-see attractions in Epcot.
