This incredible high-tech facility is appropriately placed in the Journey into Imagination pavilion. (In fact, the Journey into Imagination ride lets out at Image Works). The interactive displays here allow the imagination to run wild. Conduct an electronic orchestra in the Electronic Philharmonic, where different musical sections will follow your lead. Simply by raising or lowering your hands over a console, you can vary the volume of the sections, thereby crating a whole new sound.
For those who seek visual stimulation, the Magic Palette is the perfect place. Here visitors can use an electronic paintbrush and different video graphic effects to create their own masterpiece. Stepping Tones combines lights and music in an entertaining display that might remind folks of the giant keyboard scene in the Tom Hanks movie "Big". Colored spots on the floor correspond to different musical instruments, so as one steps on a particular spot, the beginning of an original musical piece is born.
The building commonly plays host to large crowds, but it's almost as much fun to watch other people play with the interactive displays as it is to sample them yourself. Either way, this is an incredible attraction and is one that should not be missed.
