Like Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom, The Oasis serves as the official welcoming area to Animal Kingdom. Making a trip through The Oasis is the only way to get in and out of the park. This tropical gateway is teeming with tranquil gardens, streaming waterfalls, flowing streams, and lush vegetation. Though The Oasis is not a full-fledged sub-park of Animal Kingdom, it is nevertheless an intriguing tropical environment filled with various animals, many of which are camouflaged and not so easy to see. As visitors stroll the pathways they can observe even more animals, from deer and iguanas to anteaters and sloths.
There are no real attractions at The Oasis, but you can take care of business here by picking up maps, guides, and cash at the ATM. Restrooms, lockers, and stroller rentals are also here along with some shops and specialty stores. One of the more remarkable sites in the Oasis is the Rainforest Café. This famous chain of restaurants has a huge branch in Animal Kingdom that is definitely worth a look.
