Sounds Dangerous starring Drew Carey is a thrilling ride that places audience members in what seems like some hazardous situations. But, as the title of this attraction indicates, these events only sound dangerous. In fact, most of the action takes place in your head, thanks to a personal headset and some remarkably convincing binaural sound effects.
The 3-D audio adventure takes place inside a television sound stage. As guests enter the stage area they prepare to watch a new presentation being filmed. The program is called Undercover Live, in which Drew Carey plays a detective who attempts to solve cases in the real world. Our hero is wearing a tiny camera in his tie tack, allowing the audience to see and hear the action as it unfolds.
Initially, all goes according to plan as Detective Carey infiltrates a warehouse owned by the United Snowglobe Company, an organization he feels is smuggling something. Carey then breaks into a suspect's office. But the unexpected appearance of a security guard frightens Carey and so he hides the camera in his mouth. From here on, it's all about 3-D sound.
Carey's pursuit to catch the bad guys takes audience members everywhere from a room full of buzzing bees to a barbershop for a quick grooming. The 12-minute show is fun for all ages. There is a chance, however, that easily frightened children may get scared during a few moments of the production, namely during the bee scene.
