Splash Mountain is not only one of the most popular rides in the Magic Kingdom, it is also the largest peak in the entire park. Located in the heart of Frontierland, Splash Mountain is a log-flume ride that is themed with characters like Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Bear. It boasts one of the world's longest flume runs, ending in a five-story drop at a 45-degree angle that absolutely dowses everybody with water. The front row is where all the action takes place. That's where you'll get the wettest and you get a terrifying look down at the final drop. Try to retain your composure because it is precisely at this moment that a camera flashes and your picture is taken.
The waiting lines can get extremely long at Splash Mountain, and on hot summer days they are anything but enjoyable. Lots of shade trees and figures of characters make the wait a little more pleasant, but you still might find it too long. However, unlike some rides that are not worth the wait, Splash Mountain delivers. Your best chances are during lunch or a parade.
