Nestled at the western edge of Downtown Disney, the West Side encompasses 66 acres of shopping, dining, and entertainment. The West Side boasts several high-profile celebrity tenants, a 90-minute original theatrical production staged five nights a week, a five-story indoor interactive theme park, and a dizzying collection of eclectic shops offering everything from magic tricks to movie memorabilia.
Downtown Disney West Side is anchored by several well-known properties: The AMC 24 Theatres boasts 24 separate theaters accommodating up to 5,390 total patrons. Eighteen theaters feature stadium seating; two with balconies and screens reaching three stories tall. DisneyQuest is a five-story, 100,000-square-foot facility of adventure, combining the Disney experience with state-of-the-art interactive and virtual-reality technology. Playing at the 1,671-seat Cirque du Soleil theater is "La Nouba," a high-energy production of theatrical and circus arts created exclusively for the Walt Disney World Resort.
The big names don't stop with entertainment. Dining at the West Side includes an array of nationally known restaurants. Enjoy Mississippi Delta cuisine and maybe a live show at the House of Blues; take in a bit of Latin culture at Gloria Estefan's Bongos Cuban Café, which reflects the sizzle of Miami beach serving Cuban cuisine; or sample an array of signature dishes at Woolfgang Puck's Café, serving wood-fired pizzas, pastas and classic Puck entrees.
West Side also features an assortment of eclectic retailers from candy and souvenir stores, to specialized shops like the Guitar Gallery and Magic Masters, to a coffee at Forty Thirst Street and a cigar at Sosa Family Cigars.
